"Positano Gourmet" closes with a two Michelin stars chef, Nino di Costanzo

The summer warmth begins to fade from our lands too, on the sunny Amalfi Coast, long days ends earlier, the sun hides behind the horizon ever before. Autumn advances, the signs are clear and the last night of Positano Gourmet, dinners with the stars was devoted just to the new season. The culinary festival, honored by the previous illustrious guests Giuseppe Stanzione ("Le Trabe" restaurant), Michele Deleo and Michelino Gioia ("Il Pellicano"), concluded in a brilliant way on Friday 5th October.

Together with our chef Luigi Tramontano, genius of "La Serra", the commensals enjoyed the creations of chef Nino di Costanzo of "Danì Maison" in Ischia. Di Costanzo is both the executive chef and the owner of his restaurant, that allows him to fully express a particular artistic vein in the kitchen. The elegance in presentation, the exaltation of flavors, the originality of his gourmet recipes earned him two Michelin stars. Our young Chef Tramontano earned a Michelin star after a few months leading the restaurant at the Hotel Le Agavi in ​​Positano.

So, expectations on the 4-hand dinner were more than high and none of them was disappointed, indeed. As two captains of the same ship, the chefs took turns at the helm between the oven, the fires and the hobs, drawing in the harbor a gourmet banquet smelling autumn.

Autumn is certainly the aperitif by Tramontano: a triumph of undergrowth in the dish mushroom, mushroom, mushroom. Di Costanzo instead played with local flavors and exotic ingredients in his salted peanut biscuit with butter and anchovies. The starter, signed by our executive chef, has reiterated the limitless love for the sea, which knows no seasons. Because the sea, for people who were born there, is not synonymous with holiday, but with life. And Chef Tramontano celebrates it with an exquisite sea bass toast with cuttlefish noodles and salted lemon, completed with the sauce of thyme and anchovies.

After an aromatic first course – “bufala” risotto, lime, prawns and capers - the chef of "Danì Maison" presents the lamb with eggplant parmigiana, pizza with escarole and potato lasagnetta. A combination of unthinkable goodness with the products of our land, so dear to both chefs. Perfect conclusion of the last gourmet dinner was the dessert of Tramontano: Autumn Symphony, which has definitely reconciled us with the sudden change of season.

The curtain fell this way on the culinary event Positano Gourmet, with applauses, enthusiastic reviews and palates awakened to the extraordinary in the kitchen. Given the great success, the Hotel Le Agavi is already planning the third edition of the festival, scheduled for summer 2019.
