“Positano Gourmet”: the second tasteful experience with Chef Deleo

After the opening night, which gained the well-deserved success, the chef Giuseppe Stanzione left the place – and the apron – to another great Michelin-stars chef. In the second 4-hands dinner of Positano Gourmet Chef Tramontano cooked side by side with Michele Deleo. Accompanied by the best Palmer Champagne, La Serra Restaurant was the stage of a parade of flavors starting from 8.30 pm on Friday 13 July.

As well as the first night, the second one was welcomed with satisfaction by the gourmands of our land, booking in a little time many tables of our restaurant with panoramic view on the bay of Positano. Chef Luigi Tramontano and chef Michele Deleo, both winners of one Michelin star, managed to satisfy the most demanding guests, with original matches and a constant culinary research.

The ancient grains were often present in Chef Tramontano dishes, as lemon and tomato were combined with spices, herbs and new fragrances in the creations of Deleo. Seafood, in particular caviar, oyster and shellfish, ruled the dinner menu, starting from the aperitif.

To open the street to the gourmet experience, the skillful blending of crab, goat’s cheese and ginger in the balotina of Chef Deleo, who in the aperitif tried unusual and tasteful recipes with passion fruit and Caribbean scents as mojito’s. Chef Tramontano was up to his colleague regarding fusions of innovation and different cultures: the marinated tuna with raspberry and salty meringue and the ancient grains tacos with burrata, oysters and caviar are some perfect examples.

The starter and the second dish, with apparently traditional raw materials, hold appreciated surprises, in particular the “a matriciana” of salted codfish by Deleo. On the same direction, the fruits and vegetables dessert by Chef Tramontano turned the ordinary in extraordinary.

The excellent Palmer Champagne accompanied the 4-hands feast, lending a limitless elegance: five different wines were served, according to the flavors of every course. In this way, excellence in a glass brought out every single bite.

Next date not to miss for gourmet lovers is Friday 10 August with the sweet creations by the patissier Pietro Macellaro on the Terrace Hall of the 5-stars Hotel Le Agavi. The appointment with Positano Gourmet comes back on Thursday 13 September, with the special guest Michelino Gioia, executive chef of the restaurant “Il Pellicano”.
