“Positano Gourmet” starts in the best way…And it is just the beginning

Great satisfaction of guests, a taste of flavors, the perfect accord of two Michelin stars chefs: here you are the ingredients of the opening night of Positano Gourmet – Dinner with the stars. The culinary event held at La Serra Restaurant of the Hotel Le Agavi started on Friday 22, June with the first four hands special dinner.

In a clear early summer night, our Resident Chef Luigi Tramontano shared his burners and his skilled staff with Giuseppe Stanzione, Executive Chef of the restaurant “Le Trabe” in Capaccio-Paestum, 1 Michelin Star like La Serra.  

A limited number of lucky guests had the chance to leave on a culinary trip discovering, dish by dish, new flavors and shapes for traditional ingredients.  Fresh fish and local cheeses, especially mozzarellas, ruled the menu, as well as our land. The Chefs alternated with each other’s as in a dancing show, cooking and creating in a sublime meeting of tastes.

Accompanied by a gentle breeze and with Positano bay all around, the tables and the panoramic terrace of La Serra were the stage of a spectacular aperitif, promising prelude of the gourmet dinner. Delicate and scented the steam mini brioche with tuna, created by Chef Tramontano, crunchy and soft at the same time the whole tacos with red prawn and burrata, prepared by Chef Stanzione.

Beside the authentic soul of Campania region, innovation had gained its space in a well-balanced mix, possible just thanks to the harmony of two great star chefs. So, in the Chef Stanzione’s starter, cuttlefish turns into tagliatelle, with the exotic presence of avocado and salty lemon. In the first course by Chef Tramontano, Carnaroli rice falls in love with bergamot and amberjack, in a real symbiosis with cappers and licorice.

The successful 4-hand dinners ended with an unusual but delicious combination: the dessert Bufala and raspberry, in a close embrace on the Amalfi Coast, fascinated all the senses. A special night thanks to the illustrious collaboration of the two chefs and our guests attending a real different dinner.

Next appointment with Positano Gourmet is on Friday 13rd, July: Chef Tramontano will welcome Chef Michele Deleo for a gourmet experience accompanied by the Champagne Palmer.
